Due to an issue with our strongroom shelving we are unable to produce documents from part of the Bury Record Office strongroom.  We are waiting for engineers to attend to fix the problem.  If you know what material you would like to look at, please email us at bury.ro@suffolk.gov.uk in advance of your visit and we can check that we can produce it.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.  If you have any further queries please contact the Searchroom Services Manager Judith.stephenson@suffolk.gov.uk

Please can you advise me how and to whom I could submit a proposal for a literature outreach course at Bury St Edmunds Public Record Office? Recently I delivered a talk at the Southwold Arts Festival on George Orwell in Southwold and I believe this would be a popular topic.
