Print of memorial brass of Sir Robert de Bures, 1302 (1511/1/2)

Initial letter containing portraits of Queen Mary and her husband Philip of Spain. The document dates from 1556, and granted a licence to establish an almshouse in Ipswich. (C/3/10/1/2/2/2)

A pen and ink drawing of ‘A tree of divers fruites’ drawn by Thomas Fella in an account book from Halesworth. The book records rents from land purchased by Robert Launce for the use of the poor. It includes a prayer against covetousness, drunkenness and excess and an exhortation against falsely seeking charity. (124/L/2/1)
