Reopening of the Lowestoft branch

From Tuesday 4th May 2021, the Suffolk Archives Lowestoft branch will reopen for customers who have booked appointments.

We are currently taking bookings up to the end of June.

Customers will need to make appointments in advance.

There will initially be two to three sessions available a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and alternate Saturdays (Saturdays starting on the 8 May) between 10am – 12pm. There will be three customer slots available per session.

Customers can only book to attend one 2-hour session per week and can book 2 appointments in advance.

You will need to order your items to view in advance, as there will be no browsing of the local studies shelves – find out what you can order to view here.

Please note the library’s public toilets are not open.

We will regularly review our current arrangements and expand our services when it is safe for us to do so.
