Join Andrew Webb for a fascinating talk about how a single brick inspired him to create a life size replica of the famous Sutton Hoo helmet – completely out of LEGO® bricks! Discover how the famous Danish brand links to the East Anglian region and learn how there is more than meets the eye with the seemingly simple helmet design. Ancient, modern and contemporary history collide in this dynamic evening, culminating with a behind-the-scenes account of what it’s really like to successfully petition a labour of love to Lego Ideas. Welcome tea and coffee will be provided for all in-person ticket holders.Please note, this event will be live streamed and recorded. All online ticket holders will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance.
