Using the website
The recent changes mean that we are operating a reduced service which has an impact on what can be done through the website. You can still search our catalogues and purchase digitised images for download. We are able to receive and respond to enquiries sent through the website although we no longer have access to our paper catalogues and indexes so we may not be able to provide full answers.
Unfortunately we cannot provide quotations or process requests for new digitisation. These will be held by the system and we will process them once staff have returned to the offices.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. We will share any changes or developments that occur through our Suffolk Archives Coronavirus Update page.
These pages provide help on how to use the Suffolk Archives website, including help with your Reader’s account. More general help about the catalogues and planning a visit to one of our branches can be found in the Planning Your Visit section.
You can click on any of the links below to learn more about each aspect of the website. We recommend that you start from the beginning and work your way through, but each section can be read on its own. You can go straight to any section by clicking on the links below or by selecting the links in the sidebar menus.
