This is where you can find out about our current volunteer roles for our Sharing Suffolk Stories projects. You can help us to research the stories of different people and places in our archives and share them as widely as possible with new audiences. Support us in connecting community groups to their heritage and work with them to find new creative ways to respond to what they find.
We also sometimes have opportunities for volunteers to interact directly with our collections. Whether it be assisting our archivists in cataloguing new accessions or helping our conservator to look after fragile documents, we often have projects you can get stuck into behind the scenes!
Why get involved?
The chance to improve your research and investigative skills as well as your organisation and teamwork. It is a great way to build up experience if you are interested in a career in archiving, information management, academia, community engagement, or conservation. You can meet new people and connect in creative and meaningful ways with your local heritage.
We are not currently recruiting new volunteers for our archive projects but please do check back in for future opportunities!
